In your role you will be part the project team for a large CAPEX investment project. You will be involved in process design, building construction, machine engineering, energy efficiency development and projects ensuring the continued extension of our factory with the strictest hygiene and quality requirements for the most sensitive of our consumers, babies. You will flexibly contribute to the project with a high degree of autonomy to ensure that the new asset is implemented within a running factory environment – fast – effectively - and well aligned with the daily work of the operations & quality teams! You will be part of the Operational Start-up team, an experienced team within Nestlé and the food industry. The responsibility to develop, drive and deliver will be with you, the support you’ll need will come from us!
In your role you will be supporting the project team of a large CAPEX investment project. You will be involved in process optimizations, building rearrangements, machine replacements, energy efficiency improvements and projects ensuring the continued compliance of our factory with the strictest hygiene and quality requirements for the most sensitive of our consumers, babies. You will flexibly contribute to the project with a high degree of autonomy to ensure that the new line is implemented within a running factory environment – fast – effectively - and well aligned with the daily work of the operations & quality teams! You will be part of the Operational Start-up team, an experienced team within Nestlé and the food industry. Tasks of a Project Trainee - Food Technology:
- Support the project technologists in design, implementation and commissioning of line set-up and process conditions
- Ensures continuous improvement and new technologies into the new design
- Support the project team on validation process to ensure that the new line is compliant to Nestle, hygiene, food safety and market requirements
- Support the project team on multidisciplinary topics to be aligned with the daily factory operations
- Define the solution / project with key internal stakeholders according sometimes conflicting requirements and timeline of overall factory projects & priorities.
- Respect and follow the rules according (food) safety, environment and hygiene and ensure these are followed by suppliers, contractors, visitors.
- Ensure that all assets are well designed according to legal and internal rules (i.e. plant layout, equipment selection etc.) and fit the business purpose through applying new technologies, proven principles, thorough design reviews and basic science
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar.
- Open to newcomers, 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar function and industry is a plus.
- Experience in managing projects, for newcomers bring an example from outside of work.
- Strong communication skills, curiosity to learn and understand working in a complex environment.
- Flexible and pragmatic approach to challenges, drives these with the team.
- Good control of the English and Dutch language.
