Our Graduate Opportunities offer you the chance to join Microsoft in a real job role including our Global Enterprise Services Delivery team.
Alongside your role you’ll have the chance to partake in both virtual and face to face international training during your first year. Technical Account Manager (TAM) – A TAM is a trusted business advisor to Microsoft’s Premier Support customers. You will provide valuable on the operation and optimization of their IT infrastructure through quality Service Delivery Management. If something unexpected occurs after a Premier customer has deployed a Microsoft product, you will work with Global Business Support (GBS) to manage the incident to resolution and follow up to make sure there’s either operational improvement for the customer or a product improvement underway at Microsoft. By maintaining a long-term relationship with customers, you will gain a thorough understanding of the organization’s IT goals, pain points, and the IT team’s impact on overall business. You will use this information to create a service delivery plan to make sure customers are finding success with Microsoft products.
Technical Evangelist – The Technical Evangelist role involves working with developers in a technical advisory role to help them deliver next-generation software solutions. Your influence will extend to developers both in person and at regional events. You will grow your skills in both technology and communication. You will become comfortable presenting the overall business story to a technical audience as well as rolling up your sleeves and talking technology with developers of some of the most interesting applications being created today.
Project Manager – you are responsible for managing the project process to drive outcomes and making sure they are accomplished on time, on budget, and as per customer specifications. You manage project delivery quality, scope management, risk management, profitability and customer satisfaction, amongst other metrics. It’s key to have strong communication skills and to be able to build customer relationships. Technical background is not required for this role.
Associate Consultant – are strategists who work closely with information technology decision makers as well as business owners who come to Microsoft for specific and unique solutions. Our consultants evaluate, design, and implement enterprise infrastructures and IT business solutions, often working on-site to help customers deploy their solutions. This role requires a breadth of technology knowledge and the ability to implement a solution by mapping a customer’s business problems to a technology solution.
Premier Field Engineer (PFE) – you provide technical leadership and services to our Enterprise customers around the world to promote health in their IT environments through onsite, remote and dedicated support services, to strengthen the Microsoft Services Field Engineering capability worldwide. When things do go wrong we provide rapid on site expertise to resolve critical situations.
Support Engineer – you will be on the front lines of our customer support efforts. You’ll analyse technical software problems and develop solutions for a broad range of customers, including small development shops, independent software vendors, and Fortune 500 companies. Using your technical expertise, analytical problem solving skills, and passion for customers, you’ll take on critical situations in technically challenging circumstances. Your willingness to travel on short notice is essential.
· For technical roles pursuing or within one year of graduation from a full-time Bachelor’s or Master´s degree in computer science, computer engineering, IT or electrical engineering or related fields and for Project Manager role we accept any degree discipline
· Strong interpersonal communication and public speaking skills
· Passion for technology and for collaborating with external customers, such as a student technology consultant role or job
· Technical background, e.g. with software coding experience in both class work and external projects
· Experience with two or more of the following: network and desktop operating systems, information worker applications, database systems, messaging, management and operations, security
· Microsoft Product Certification, MCSE or other technical certifications preferred
· Skills in VB, C/C++/C#, ActiveX, COD/DCOM and/or XML or other development skills preferred
· Confidence to manage executive relationships, both internally and with customers, to create business transformation
· Available to start in September 2017
· Fluency in English and Dutch
· Full work authorization to work in Netherlands
· Flexibility to travel
