As a trainee you will join a 2-year program, in which you will be fulfilling 2 or 3 challenging assignments in different departments and sectors within Philips. For some of our Trainees it is even an option to work abroad. The Traineeship focusses on ‘learning on the job’, mentoring and training. Your responsibilities
- The product Development team is responsible for the predevelopment of new functions and concepts and the architecture design and detailing of new products. Innovation Site Eindhoven Mother & Childcare is responsible for the predevelopment and product development of products for Mother and Child Care. These products are sold in the market under the brand-name AVENT.
- The group Function Development and Architecture matches the consumer needs to technical solutions. It spans the whole range from first ideas, proof of principles to product implementation and transfer to production. We cover the full portfolio of Skincare products, including IPL (depilation with light).As a trainee you will be part of various projects in which you perform various tasks. This offers you the chance to gain experience in a lot of fields and to interact with many different functions. You are also likely to be involved in further developing our test set-up involving the human like Biotac sensor finger, depending on the progress of your predecessor trainee.
- Lead or support site improvement actions/ projects and ensure that they are performed in a timely matter; improvement actions can be: Improve the main innovation processes (pre-development and development); burning platforms to work on are defined on site and businesses level or Implement LEAN way of working
- The group NPI cold forming is part of the NPI Drachten organization and has about 24 engineers responsible for the development and realization of precision metal parts. Key metal components for the shaving system are the cutters and caps. A main challenge is to deliver the requested process/product quality. Project goal is to have a validated model which describes the correlation between the key process, control, noise, input parameters and product quality and proposal for a control loop for those key parameters.
- have recently graduated or will graduate latest August 2016 with a Master’s Degree in the directions of Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Innovation Management, Industrial Engineering, Technical Business Administration. Or you have max 1 years of work experience straight after your graduation;
- have excellent inter-personal and communication skills, so you can persuade colleagues at all ranks in the organization;
- have international experience or an international mindset and the ability to use internal and external resources to maximize the value for the company and its customers;
- have project and change management skills;
- speak and write fluent English.

- the most suitable candidates will be invited to the Traineeship Business Challenge Event in the Netherlands, to be scheduled on April 4 & 5 2016. During the event you will spend 1.5 day with similar minded graduates, working on a range of highly challenging exercises in a number of business-related scenarios. This is the final step in the traineeship selection process.When you successfully complete the selection process you are able to start between the 1st of May and September 2016 in your first assignment which are especially created for this program.
