As a trainee you will join a 2-year program, in which you will be fulfilling 2 or 3 challenging assignments in different departments and sectors within Philips. For some of our trainees it is even an option to work abroad. The traineeship focusses on ‘learning on the job’, mentoring and training. Benefit from many opportunities to learn and share with other Philips trainees and employees, while expanding your business network. After two years of accelerated learning and gaining valuable experience, you are in the driver seat of your career. You are responsible for

We have several assignments (location Eindhoven) available and within the software/digital engineering trainee positions, each assignment has a specific focus.

  • The Healthcare Informatics business, part of the Connected Care & Health Informatics business group in Philips, is a global leader in a/o enterprise PACS, advanced visualization and cardiovascular informatics solutions. With serving over 5000 cardiology informatics customers worldwide, we’ve recently introduced IntelliSpace Cardiovascular as our next-generation solution. You will be working in our Program Management Office that focuses on Change and Innovation Management. Your predecessors have worked on projects like setting-up from scratch Portfolio Management as part of the Scaled Agile Framework, improving customer experience or operational excellence across our value chain, (re-)defining how we do business in 2020 (i.e. new solution, business model redefinition, disruptive technologies, new service approach).
  • Innovation Site Eindhoven is responsible for the predevelopment and product development of products for Mother and Child Care. These products are sold in the market under the brand-name Avent. The Software and Electronics development team is responsible for the operational maintenance and predevelopment of new functions and concepts to extend the current digital portfolio with flagship propositions in the uGrow platform.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • Recently graduated or will graduate latest August 2018 with a Master’s Degree in the directions of Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or any other related engineering field.       .
  • Max 1 year of work experience straight after your graduation;
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, so you can persuade colleagues at all ranks in the organization;
  • International experience or an international mindset and the ability to use internal and external resources to maximize the value for the company and its customers;
  • Project and change management skills;
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, eager and ambitious.
  • Speak and write fluent English.

As a trainee you will receive a contract for the period of 3 years, with excellent labor conditions.

Recruitment Process

When you are interested to join the Philips’ traineeship, please apply online latest 31st of January 2018

  • upload your CV, motivation and grade list;
  • if you pass the pre-selection round you will be invited at the beginning of February 2018 to make an online ability test
  • if you achieve the required score on this test, you will be invited for the Selection Days in Eindhoven, the Netherlands (6th of March 2018);
  • the most suitable candidates will be invited to the Traineeship Business Challenge Event in the Netherlands on the 26th & 27th of March 2018. During the event you will spend 1.5 day with similar minded graduates, working on a range of highly challenging exercises in a number of business-related scenarios. This is the final step in the traineeship selection process.
  • Your presence during the Selection Days and the final Business Challenge Event is required.
     

When you successfully complete the selection process, you are able to start between the 1st of May and 1st of September 2018 in your first assignment which is especially created for this program.
