Our English-oriented technical traineeship takes one year to complete and is an excellent stepping stone in your career, an ideal chance to get to know various aspects of the marine contracting, dredging and offshore energy sectors in a short period of time. By working in various departments, and on projects and on equipment around the globe, you will get to know Van Oord in an intense way. Our employment conditions are competitive and comprehensive.
Our English-oriented technical traineeship takes one year to complete and is an excellent stepping stone in your career, an ideal chance to get to know various aspects of the marine contracting, dredging and offshore energy sectors in a short period of time. You will join courses and trainings. Working in various departments at our head office in Rotterdam or office in Gorinchem, and on projects and on equipment around the globe, you will get to know Van Oord in an intense way.
After succesfully completing your traineeship, you will work on our international (dredging, offshore and offshore energy) projects, or at our Ship Management Department or our Engineering and Estimating Department. Read about the experiences of former trainee Philip van Loon (Trainee Engineer).
You will be eligible for participation if you have completed an MSc or BSc in one of the following subjects:
- Civil engineering
- Mechanical engineering
- Offshore (wind energy) engineering
- Aerospace engineering
- Technical business administration (with technical educational training)
- Maritime engineering
- Industrial automation
- Electrical engineering
Are you an entrepreneur, a flexible colleague who is prepared to work abroad, a person with strong analytical skills who is focused on results and is a team player? Can you handle stress well and do you speak English at an advanced level? (advantage when speaking and writing French or Spanish). Then we look forward to your application!
The traineeship selection procedure consists of a video application, two interviews and an online assessment.
